About Eleven Painters

 

Eleven Painters is an art collective comprised of current and former students from the illustrious Leith School of Art. We have held successful exhibitions at Dundas Street Gallery in Edinburgh, and built our website to showcase the group’s work. 

 

One of the most tangible benefits of working with other artists comes from the expansion of creativity that arises with mixing diverse styles, backgrounds and perspectives. As Brian Eno wrote: “every collaboration helps you grow”. The practical advantages include sharing resources and support, plus gaining greater exposure; the creative expansion that is borne out of an art collective is multi-dimensional. Through collective work, artists have the opportunity to grow together as individual parts within a single, stronger whole.
